In 2002, Nic transitioned to Downey Designs, a restyle specialty company, where he traveled across the country, from Anchorage, AK to Newark, NJ, resetting and restyling jewelry. This experience exposed him to various regional styles of jewelry design and techniques, further enriching his expertise.

The following year, Nic relocated to San Diego's North County, where he joined Famulare Jewelers in 2003. At Famulare Jewelers, he held diverse roles ranging from bench jeweler to premium watch specialist, appraiser, top salesperson, and Chief Romance Officer (CRO). His commitment to ongoing education led him to pursue certifications from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), including Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP) certificates in Diamonds and Colored Stones, as well as a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) diploma.

Throughout his career, Nic has amassed a wealth of experience in retail and wholesale operations, design and manufacturing, as well as buying and selling precious metals, diamonds, gemstones, and premium watches.
